1. Program Description
Will Call offers an optional SMS notification service called Will Call Recording Notifications. When you use the Will Call kiosk to record a message and choose to receive a text, we will send you a single SMS message containing a private, time-limited link to your audio recording.
This program is operated by Will Call, a nonprofit grief memorial organization. Messages are sent from the short code or long code associated with Will Call via Twilio, Inc.
2. How to Opt In
You opt in to receive an SMS notification by:
- Using the Will Call kiosk to complete a recording session
- Checking the box labeled “Text me a link to my recording” on the consent screen
- Entering your US mobile phone number
- Acknowledging the SMS consent disclosure displayed on screen
- Tapping “Done” to submit
Consent to receive SMS messages is not required to use the Will Call kiosk or any other Will Call service. Your recording experience is the same whether or not you opt in to SMS. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, donation, or service.
3. Message Frequency
You will receive no more than one (1) SMS message per recording session. We do not send recurring marketing messages, newsletters, promotional texts, or any other SMS communications beyond the single recording notification you requested.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. These charges are determined by your mobile carrier and your service plan. Will Call does not charge any fee for sending SMS messages. Contact your mobile carrier if you have questions about your plan’s messaging rates.
5. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from Will Call at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After sending STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number.
You may also opt out by contacting us directly at [email protected]. Please allow up to 2 business days for opt-out requests submitted by email to take effect.
If you opt out and later wish to receive a recording link again, you must re-enroll by using the kiosk and opting in again at the consent screen.

7. Supported Carriers
Will Call SMS notifications are available to subscribers of most major US wireless carriers, including but not limited to:
- AT&T
- T-Mobile
- Verizon
- Sprint (now T-Mobile)
- US Cellular
- Boost Mobile
- Cricket Wireless
- Metro by T-Mobile
- Google Fi
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by carrier policies, network conditions, or other factors outside our control.
8. Privacy and Data Use
Your phone number is used solely to send the single recording notification you requested. We do not:
- Share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes
- Add your number to any marketing list or database
- Sell, rent, or trade your mobile number
- Send unsolicited promotional messages
Mobile opt-in data and consent is not shared with any third party for any purpose other than facilitating delivery of the message you requested through our SMS service provider, Twilio, Inc.

9. Sample Message
When you opt in and complete a recording session, you will receive a message that looks similar to:

Expires in 7 days. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel.
10. Link Expiration
The private link included in your SMS message will expire 7 days after it is sent. After expiration, the link will no longer work and the recording will no longer be publicly accessible via that link. If you need access to your recording after 7 days, please contact us at [email protected] with details about your session.
11. US Only
Will Call SMS notifications are available to US mobile phone numbers only. International numbers are not supported at this time.
12. Changes to These SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued opt-in status after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
