NO GRIEF IS TOO SMALL

Will Call is a nonprofit organization that provides an opportunity for people to connect with their absent loved ones through voice recordings.

Will Call was created in memory of Will Cardina, who took his life at the age of 34. Our hope is that Will Call can bridge the gap between grief and love through the collective power of words.

what will call offers

Grief is deeply personal, but it doesn’t have to be solitary. At Will Call, your story is welcome, your emotions are valid, and your voice matters.

A structured way to record messages to an absent loved one

We provide a safe space to say things you never got to say, or things you need to say again.

A private, supportive environment for sharing and listening.

Keep recordings private or share them (with consent) to a curated, anonymous library of grief stories.

Guided prompts and reflection questions.

Spoken words can be a powerful way to process pain, love, regret, and memory. We have created a space where everyone’s voice is heard, one gentle prompt at a time.

OUR GOALS AND PHILOSPHY

FACILITATE SHARING

Offer a private, safe space where individuals can openly share thoughts, feelings, and experiences with loss through voice recordings, without judgment.

PROMOTE CONNECTION

Help participants realize they are not alone by connecting them with others who are experiencing similar grief.

VALIDATE EMOTIONS

Normalize the wide range of grief responses by allowing participants to hear from others who understand their pain and complexity.

FOSTER A SENSE OF HOPE

Guide participants toward hope and strength, reminding them that while grief is uniquely their own, they do not have to travel through it alone.

where we’re going

Will Call aims to create a mobile outreach experience that meets people where they are.

Inside this safe and private space, individuals can speak to their absent loved ones, release what has been held inside, and access support if they want it – always on their terms.

more about will cardina

Will was an artist, a musician and a poet. He was a sensitive soul, who had a hard time adjusting to societal norms and expectations. Will struggled with addiction and depression that was exacerbated by a devastating automobile accident. Throughout his lifetime, all who cared and loved Will had one request: “Will, call”. When he died, we wanted to create a way that authentically honored his life and music. In our own grief, we also had a desire to create a space to allow others to express unspoken words, thoughts, and regrets to their loved ones who are no longer physically present. It is our hope to provide an opportunity to understand that the uniqueness of grief does not isolate us. There are shared elements, and in this universal experience, we find connection and comfort.”
